Hello Deluxe friends! We know you are aware of some amazing, progressive and creative things happening in our great state. Please tell us about them! We love guest bloggers, and would be happy to link back to your site.
Tell us your story! Email firstname.lastname@example.org and include a couple photos of your topic and one of yourself if you want. Thanks for your contribution!
The joy of Deluxe won’t disappear just because the doors of the Centennial building have closed! We’ll continue to bring you updates on our artists, shoppers and nonprofits throughout the year, as well as profiles of the amazing things happening in OKC. Many Deluxe artists have already submitted their applications for the 2011 show and we’re brainstorming fun ways to make it even better for you, the shopper! First up? Organize that unruly line at the door! We had no idea there would be a stampede for those goodie bags – word is getting out about Deluxe!
We’re also thinking of more fun ways to get you involved in the Deluxe experience! For example, did you dance to the music? Did you have a cyclops portrait made? Did you pose for a photo? Vernon Deas of GroupFly Clothing did:
Please share your stories and images with us, and we’ll put them on our blog! Email email@example.com with your Deluxe stories and photos.
Wow! What a great show. Some very dedicated shoppers waited in the cold for the doors to open, and a steady stream came in all day. This was, by far, our best show yet! We will continue to grow each year.
If you drove from another state to shop or sell at Deluxe, please comment! We like to know where you’re coming from, and thank you for your enthusiasm!
Can’t wait for next year’s show? Go ahead and apply! Our applications are online now!
We also have sponsorship guidelines if you are interested in having your link on our sidebar, along with many other sponsorship opportunities. Thank you for supporting Deluxe artists!
Remember, the earlier you commit to a sponsorship, the more people will see your ad on our site!
Did you take pictures at Deluxe? Please join our Flickr group and share them! Over the coming days we’ll be sharing your images and stories of your Deluxe experiences. Have a great story to tell? Please email sara@deluxeOK.net and we might put it on our blog.

What is your organization’s mission?
ProjectOKC is a group of online and offline friends committed to loving and serving Oklahoma City. We partner with non-profits, churches, schools, civic organizations and businesses to bring good to the community.
It might be a party for urban children, movie night with senior citizens, basketball with students, and even random acts of kindness. We want to network with groups and individuals alike, not caring about who gets the credit or recognition. Only caring about the families we are able to connect with.
Who is your target population?
We are focused on improving OKC so many of our volunteers and the people we serve are local. We recruit from social networks and help people in need all over the city.
What are the greatest needs you are seeing from your clients now?
We are a pretty unique non-profit, one that focuses on getting people to volunteer. In an odd way, our clients are everyday, busy people that need to get off their computers and do some GOOD! We help kids, seniors, get people plugged into the arts, and are involved in acts of kindness towards people in need.
How do you meet these needs in our community?
VERY PRACTICALLY! We give box fans to seniors in nursing homes because the home couldn’t afford the AC bill. We create birthday cards for children in foster care. We feed the homeless, clothe the poor, and support the MANY non-profits doing so much GOOD in our city. We don’t need to reinvent the wheel, reinvent services, we can assist those already doing great work by providing volunteers.
What volunteer opportunities do you have?
Almost any volunteer opportunity you can imagine, check out projectokc.com for more information.
Is there anything else you’d like shoppers to know?
We know what it’s like to be busy but still want to give our time in the community. ProjectOKC makes it easy to give just a few hours at a time while still making a measurable difference.
Do you love Deluxe? Want to meet new people and be involved with our creative community?
We need quite a few volunteers to help make Deluxe the best it can be. You can assist shoppers, help artists load up and even help kids make free art. You can volunteer with a friend, and we’ll put you on a task together if you want. Does that sound like fun? Please register here on the ProjectOKC website. We truly appreciate all of our volunteers!
With the generous donations of local businesses and Deluxe artists, Deluxe will hold raffles again this year during the show. Tickets can be purchased at Deluxe, and all proceeds will go directly to ProjectOKC, a service organization that meets the needs of many local people while enhancing our community spirit.
Examples of this year’s prizes include a Wagyu Wednesday dinner for two at REDPrime Steak, a free class at Oklahoma Quiltworks, and free passes to Science Museum Oklahoma. We will be assembling the prizes into themed packages, so if you win, you get a basket full of goodies! This is going to be awesome, folks, and it’s for such a great cause.
If you would like to donate items for the raffles, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
